Porcelain veneers are the small piece of attachment the dentist will fix on the front portion of the teeth to improve its overall aesthetics. These veneers may give the teeth a white look or even a more natural shade to blend with the other teeth well.

It is fitting that people go for when due to root canal treatment or other oral procedures the tooth look odd or have a disjointed look. A reputed dental clinic will offer you various types of veneers, like the Composite or resin based veneers, porcelain veneers, the Instant veneers, and the removable veneers.

Whichever method or option you choose for the veneer, you will find these to improve your overall appearance. The veneers do bring in the beauty to your smile and make them nothing less than perfect too. But do find out about the veneer cost and then go for the ones that fit in your dental insurance plan.

The procedure of Getting Veneer

The first step is to get necessary diagnostic reports of the tooth and this you can get at the dental clinic itself. The dentist will then take the impressions of the teeth that require the veneers. It usually takes anything between 2 and four weeks, for the veneer imprints to come from the lab as per your X-Ray images. On the day of the veneer fitting, the orthodontist will remove around 1 millimeter of the enamel from the tooth surface. Then they will clean up the tooth and polish it before applying it with the adhesive for tooth bonding.

After this, the dentist will apply cement for the veneer teeth to fit well and then use a laser light to harden it and make it healthy.

The dentists will generally recommend the patients to visit them after a week to see if the veneer requires any touch-ups.

The dentists at NoHo can give you the consultation on whether you can go for the veneer or not. They will be able to provide you with proper guidance and even assure you have not much of problem while getting the veneer.
